In March we braved near wintry conditions to take Carson & Summer east to hang with Bob Georgetown.
It was so blustery even the indoor museum exhibits involved wind. Suffice to say, our wimpy California offspring were wondering where the nearest car was.
While we weren't able to make it to every monument, we did at least see them all thanks to the view from Kristi Sue's office rooftop.
Thanks to some high level connections we got to peddle some influence in the press room at the White House while on the West Wing tour.
But the real business of the weekend was with the Hoyas.
For the last time in regular season Big East Play the Hoyas sliced the Orange, and won the Big East regular season.
As much as Bill might have wanted to head back to campus to celebrate with the undergrads, we instead headed north to reunite with the Terrapin friends who just think they're still in the Sorority house.
Here's how that same photo looks if you move down a generation. All but one child made the shot, and miraculously the holdout wasn't one of ours.
Finally on Sunday we got some private lessons with Uncle Ken.
It was quite the treat to get a DC & Uncle Ken visit all wrapped up together.
