Bathing Bruisers

Laura made a triumphant return to the Lenny K. pool this week, and Bill busted out the zoom lense for the occasion. Carson also busted Summer in the face with a toy earlier in the day that led to her colorful eye socket.

Darth Dassler? Carson determined this shirt to be large enough to be used by Uncle Jeff, or to be used by Carson as a Darth Vader costume.

The firemen made an appearance at the park this week and of course Carson sprang into action.

After weeks of asking to wear his swim cap Laura and I finally remembered to pack it for the trip to Lenny K.

Sunday night we caught up with Danielle and her new baby Julia. If they motivate to form their own blog it will be linked above.

We'll be in Ohio for Rich Roedersheimer's wedding next weekend, so the blog probably won't post until later in the week.

Happiest Place on Earth

Thanks to a Deloitte conference we got some gratis tickets to Disneyland this weekend.

Of course that didn't make the Mic & Cheese free, but it was still pretty fun to look at (if not to eat since it was just Kraft).

We got two rides on Dumbo in before most of the blog readers were probably awake.

Laura got her wish to have some pictures taken of her and her children this week.

We made a return visit to the character breakfast after getting some quick rides in. Pinocchio seems to be questioning whether Carson really had ridden the Matterhorn.

The wonderful thing about the character breakfast was that it was a wonderful thing.

I'm sure there are Disney crazies who will inform me otherwise, but I'm fairly convinced that the people in the Chip & Dale costumes claim to be the other one whenever parents assert which on they are. Perhaps it's just best that I didn't have twins.

One can only guess what is going through Carson's mind in this picture.

Despite what you might think, this is not a family picture. That's Goofy, Bill is taking the picture.

The force was strong enough with this one to get picked for the Jedi Training Academy.

Given his love of Darth Vader, I'm fairly certain Carson would have been happy to convert to the dark side.

Captain Jack Spar-Goat.

All Disney trips end the same way.

Because of blog tardiness we also had some events from the previous week that didn't get published. Summer enjoyed a ride on her lion.

Though not as much as Carson enjoyed making cookies with Laura.

Aunt Beth (and fam) stopped in for a visit.

Summer has a long way to go to catch Uncle Jeff.

The family filled weekend concluded with a visit to Aunt Colleen and new dog Biggie Smalls.

Florida Vacation

Carson (and the rest of the fam) flew east for a Florida vacation a few weeks back. After combing through the extensive photographic evidence from this trip I've pared down a few highlights.

We had barely arrived when we got to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Laura's 29th birthday.

Summer got to explore the pond, much like her brother before her.

Summer felt the need to work on her game while in Florida. "Don't think of it as work. The whole point is just to enjoy yourself."

She still found plenty of time to relax on her vacation.

Of course not trip to Grandma and Grampa's is complete without a trip to the citrus grove soft serve stand.

For the second year in a row we used an egg dyeing kit which provided different instructions for the orange and pink color tabs, and for the second year in a row we ignored those instructions. Fortunately the blues, purples and greens looked great.

Like many a visitor up the road in Orlando, Summer was able to view the backside of water.

Carson got a lot more practice jumping over the waterfall while on vacation.

On Easter (or thereabouts) we were up early and ready to greet the bunny.

Summer busted out what was possibly her last official use of the angry face upon finding her easter basket. I'd be upset if my basket didn't have any peeps in it too.
