Nursery is Complete!

With potentially as much as a month and a half to spare we've completed the nursery!

To be fair we contracted out most of the difficult work such as the painting, but it was still quite the process. For lack of anything more interesting to show you pictures of right now, take a look at the process:

First, came the all important step of replacing all the doors windows in our apartment.

I'm sure some of you will say that this step is purely optional and has nothing to do with bringing home a baby. Apparently none of you are my wife.

With that step completed we moved on to actually concetrating on the room itself. Here are some before shots:

You'll notice that the furniture is already put together in these shots. It was also contracted out, although I did at least provide some assistance. I guess I provided assistance on the painting too, if by assistance you mean painting the scratches where I'd banged something into the wall when moving in. The real heavy lifting was done by Joseph Remnant. As you can see, he paints a mean monkey. Anyway, onto the finished product:

North East corner with crib.

North Wall with Laura's stuffed animals and new friends.

South Wall with changing table.

Nightlight (thanks Nicky & Kevin!)

Animal rug (thanks Mom & Dad!)

Alright, that's it for now, coming soon, baby shower pics (and of course the baby's only 6 weeks off, and who knows how often I'll remember to update this). Until then, nighty-night:
