We're woefully behind in updating the blog for the holidays, so this marathon post will be my best effort at recapping the events of December.
No holiday season would be complete without some baking, and Carson and Summer were pressed into service on multiple occasions.
Summer clearly takes after Bill when it comes to cookie decoration. It's a little known fact that sprinkle technique is clearly hereditary.
We began the month heading out into the wilderness of the Home Depot parking lot to select the most important of Christmas symbols.
St. Nick got Summer ready to pull Santa sleigh.
He noes if you've been bad or good...
The Bailey's made the trip down for our second annual Boat Parade & Christmas party.
Beth and Summer danced the night away to close the party down.
The big man in red left no doubt as to which list Summer was on this year.
The sunset didn't disappoint in what will likely be our last visit with the dour Manhattan Beach Santa.
After all her interaction with Mr. Claus, Summer's impression was spot on.
Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo gave nearby LAX a real challenge for biggest South Bay light pollution source.
Carson, Laura and I snuck away from the Santa Barbara festivities to hike around 1000 Steps Beach.
Carson was already comfortable on two wheels, so Santa thought it was time to add the challenge of pedals to the mix.
Meals after 1pm and Summer don't mix these days, but Grampa kept her entertained while waiting for Christmas dinner.
In a true commitment to the blog, Laura kept her camera focused even though this snowball was destined for her head.
When a kite flies all the way from China it's worth taking a look.
Many of you may have already seen word of Bill's dominating bowling performance on facebook, but you should know I was really just there for Carson. I don't want to hear any Kennth-Jordan-esque regrets in 20 years.
As if a trip to the park and bowling were'nt enough, we also took Bill & Bobbi where no Morris' had gone before (mostly because the Endeavor pavilion has just opened).
Closing out the year Carson and Summer put on their finest new outfits to attend a New Year's party up the hill.
It was pretty swank given that top hats were required attire.
Despite partying til all hours, Carson and Laura manage to look pretty good together on New Year's Day.
Perhaps their chipperness was due to the homemade donuts that somebody sampled before I could even finish snapping a picture.
