Ging Ging & Pops & Halloween Oh My

Ging Ging and Pops made a special Fall trip to the west coast and ended up in the least rural of pumpkin patches imaginable.

Laura & Summer managed to make a new friend while we were there...

and we also got a good family pic.

We didn't just spend our time waiting for the great pumpkin. Summer and Pops got some good bonding time.

As did Carson & Ging-Ging

Even though it was a week early, Carson took advantage of every opportunity to try on his costume.

We also got in a little trick or treating practice at the Manhattan Beach Pumpkin races.

Only you can prevent pumpkin race fires.

After agonizing over which pumpkins to buy at the patch (and then buying none and getting them at Trader Joes), Bill decided to go all out in carving this year.

Despite the gourd based inspiration the Bengals continued to suck. As long as it means we make popcorn Carson is just fine with watching the game no matter the outcome.

Carson got to make time with Lily aka Wonder Woman at a neighborhood Halloween party before trick-or-treating.

Summer & Bill revisited a great costume combination from a couple years back. Being a month younger made Summer significantly more comfortable in the Pea costume than Carson had been.

Three Weeks Blew by Before I Could Get Up a Post

Yes, we've been on a bit of a hiatus (both from posting, as well as a trip to Florida which Laura & Summer enjoy above).

Before we get to that we have important highlights to share from the Manhattan Beach Old Hometown Fair. There we rode a pony...

and a Police Motorcycle.

Carson also took a trip to the Zimmer Children's Museum.

Summer's swinging right along with all the activity happening here.

Dr. Meurer joined me for an extremely brief trip to Vegas, and also got to meet Summer.

He wasn't the only visitor, the Bailey's also made it down. Here Vivian and Summer show what Laura has always claimed about second borns having it rough.

Carson can definitely get a job dressing up and standing still out in Hollywood to impersonate a statue.

As if all the excitement in California wasn't enough, we also fit in a trip to Florida to visit Grandma and Grampa.

Summer definitely thought the Florida weather rocked.

Grandma wasn't the only person she was happy to hang out with.

Summer also got to meet her Great Aunt Peg and Great Uncle Tom for the first time.

Carson piloted a variety of craft while in town, including a big wheel...

Boat...

and golf cart. As you can see, he started to develop a bit of an attitude behind the wheel.

We took in a parade while in town, seeing local luminaries such as Gunther Gable Williams' widow (sadly sans lions, tigers or cheetahs).

We also got some fancy citrus themed ice cream that had Summer and I happy, and Carson lunging for more.

It wouldn't be a trip to Florida without plenty of time in the water.

Carson thoroughly enjoyed both the pool...

And the ocean.

I have to imagine we'll be back in October next year.
