More Disneyland

Carson and I got a return trip to Disney this weekend. Despite her protestations, Laura stayed home to sleep in until 10.

We were once again joined by Nikhil, since his Dad was the one with the employee badge (thanks again Kedar!).

Without Laura, nobody was there to get dizzy on our spin around the carousel.

We were all smiles while waiting for the monorail.

That didn't change once we got on either.

For all the pics I got with smiles, Carson found nothing goofy about Goofy.

He did delay his visit with Mickey for at least 10 minutes to sit on this "piano-car".

He eventually did get a moment with the big cheese.

We returned home to a little birthday celebration two days early. As usual, Laura's cake was impressive.

Although not technically a birthday present, the double jogger did arrive this week, and we are happy to report that it fits in the elevator (also, its reflective panels work).

The jogger isn't the only sign that we're in the final weeks of preparations for Deuce's arrival. Laura has been washing and rewashing all of the newborn clothes, which led to a certain hat and booty set getting re-worn.

The blog isn't immune to preparation either. We've heard the calls of our fan, and so a poll now sits in the upper left. Guess whether Carson is getting a brother or sister above. As usual, there is no prize.

While he did manage to get the socks on his feet.

They fit a little better the first time around.

Disability!

Tuesday marked Laura's last day of work in 2010!

While employers refer to this a disability, Carson probably sees it more as an invasion of a personal paparazzi into his daily comings and goings. Normally there isn't an extra photographer for a trip to the park.

Or visiting El Segundo music class with Wanda.

As if life couldn't get any better with Laura around all week: cookies were also baked.

Zach's mom was adamant that he look sharp to make the blog.

But of course we're putting on somebody that has this level of celebrity!

This wasn't our only brush with fame this weekend. We also participated in the making of an instructional video at Lenny K Swim School. Carson became one of the first kids to demo the aquatic obstacle course.

Capping off the weekend, Carson gave me a tile handprint to match the one from last Father's day.

Happy Birthday to Carson (Finally)

Only a week and a half late!

After battling through a bout of illness it was finally time to celebrate Carson's birthday. Before we got there we had to celebrate a little potty training success with a few cookies.

The baked goods would only improve as the week went on.

Carson (and Scott and Colleen) would have to work for them though.

Some balloons required more helium than others.

But that allowed us to save just enough air for later.

MJ and Viv were there to enjoy the parachute.

In addition to the cousins, guests included Strummer (and his brother CW who eluded our camera)...

Nikhil (and his sister Alekha who preferred napping to photography)...

PDR playground buddy Justin...

and babygroup pal Dylan. Another babygroup friend, Tyler, also made an appearance but somehow didn't end up on film.

A Very Merry Unbirthday

Carson isn't the only one searching for a new blog post. The site's management realizes it's been far too long since the last update, and hopes a record long post will somewhat make up for the last few weeks of blog-silence.

So much has gone on since we last posted. Three weekends ago we took a trip up to Santa Barbara and Carson got to tickle the ivories.

There was a local festival going on with a number of things that matched Carson's interests.

There were firefighters...

Parachutes...

and ponies!

Once back in LA we started with potty training in earnest. For this reason most of the week was spent pants free, so there isn't much photographic evidence. However Carson did do a little waterpainting.

As well as help Bill build a stool that would help him reach the top of the potty.

Carson did get to spend some time outdoors.

Of course there were rewards for our successes.

In what will likely not come as a surprise to any of you, they were well received.

After a week of potty training I now realize how easy it must be for Lenny K. to keep this pool at 91 degrees.

June has brought anything but gloom so far. Memorial day weekend allowed for plenty of beach time.

On June 3rd somebody got to celebrate a birthday, but we were holding off on Carson's celebration til the party on the weekend.

Despite what she says, we did take some good pictures with Ging-Ging.

Although we don't have any pictures, we spent Saturday at Sesame Street Live with Carson's cousins. Unfortunately, on the way there Carson lost his breakfast, which would eventually force the postponement of his birthday party the next day. However he did still have energy to run around this cool illuminating entrance way afterward.

Although we didn't have the party that didn't stop us from opening a few presents on Sunday. Ging-Ging and Pops got Carson a tennis racquet.

While Grandma and Grampa sent out a shopping cart. Carson could not have been more excited about both gifts.

While the party has been pushed back a week, that just means we still had time to get our shopping done.
