Cookie Monster

It was an action filled week that strangely didn't involve many pictures. Carson feasted on some chocolate cookies (more on that later).

He really knows how to rock a pair of shades, even if they are Laura's.

Stevie Wonder would be proud.

Here's a look into the creative process that created the aforementioned cookies. I don't think in the 15 years I've known Laura I've ever been allowed to lick the batter while cookies are still being made. Clearly Carson plays by a different set of rules.

As you can see, Carson has started to get quite consistent in his counting, making it all the way to 14 (though often skipping two and three in the process).

New Bed... Wow!

This weekend marked the arrival of a big boy bed. Carson wasted no time diving in.

We also celebrated the 4th anniversary of Laura's 29th birthday, with trips to Pizzeria Mozza and Nobu. All that occurred after Carson was in bed, so there aren't any pictures.

Really, it was all about the bed. Of course, Carson assisted with the construction.

Once finished he seemed quite pleased with his handiwork.

Night night.

Lots of Friends in Town

We got a few more laughs with Grandma and Grampa before they headed back to Florida at the beginning of the week.

Even with the grandparents gone Carson continued to monkey around during the week.

He helped answer the age old question of how many Jordan boys it takes to screw in a lightbulb.

This weekend Carson had a playdate at the firetruck park with his babygroup friends Dylan and Zachary. Here he and Zach take the park's namesake for a spin.

We took in some of the neighborhood sites as well this weekend, including the famed dolphin bench.

Carson also hosted some new friends from the east coast. Lily, Emily and Alex (children of Deloitte friends Edwin & Vicky) stopped by for a break on their SoCal vacation. Here Carson gets an idea what it would be like to attend UCLA.

Easter!

Carson was pretty excited for a very busy Easter weekend.

We celebrated Thea's birthday this week. As usual, Carson was focused on the cake.

We started off a very busy Easter weekend by dying eggs. Due to inability to read instructions our color choices were limited to green, orange, yellow and two shades of blue. Who knew pink and vinegar didn't mix?

Activity #2 of Saturday morning was our good friend Strummer's second birthday party. We started the party relaxing in the swing.

Before participating in the archeological dig with the birthday boy himself.

Sunday began by reviewing a visit from the Easter bunny. He apparently knew not only of Carson's current obsession with Bert & Ernie, but also was quite the baker.

Once we tore ourselves away from the basket the race for the eggs was on. We'll spare you the details, though you can see 10 of the 12 hiding spaces if you look closely at the photo share this week.

Bert and Ernie never really left Carson's side the rest of the day.

As if the day couldn't get any more fun, Grandma and Grampa returned from Santa Barbara to spend a few days in LA.
