Beaches and Birthdays

Carson was in up to his knees this past weekend. A surprise bout of 70 degree temperatures had us headed straight for the beach.

It was so nice in California last weekend the sun was even shining in some places it normally doesn't.

Birthday party season began in earnest as well. Here Carson enjoys a little play time with his friend Strummer at his older brother CW's birthday party.

Although there was plenty of food, Carson felt the need to do a little cooking at the party.

Another weekend another party. This time it was Justin, another friend from the park. Sadly we did a little too much chasing to take many pictures, but here is one shot we got of Carson enjoying the basketball themed bounce house.

Finally, the weekend ended on a sad note, as my road bike was stolen out of our garage on Sunday. Boo bike thieves!

Ging Ging & Pops!

The blog took last week off, so we won't waste any time diving right back into it this week.

With Laura out of town in Orlando working with the mouse, Carson might have thought he had the place to himself.

However, we had a couple of special guests in town to spend time with Carson this week.

As usual, Pops was good for a few laughs.

Not that he could get a smile out of Carson when it really counted.

Happily, Laura was back in time for one of her patented self portraits by the weekend.

Big Boy Seat!

This week Carson moved on from his highchair.

So far the new throne has proved pretty comfy.

He got out of it long enough to bounce around with Bill...

and to watch a little basketball on the weekend.

Finally, although I've delayed in posting this video of Carson reacting to Georgetown's lackluster performance in the Dome last week, Laura really likes it, so it must go up. I guess it's appropriate since the Hoyas turned in another less than stellar performance at home tonight vs. South Florida. Oh! Oh! Oh!
