Swimming Swimming in the Swimming Pool

After a long hiatus we've returned to swim lessons at Lenny K.

We were invited to dinner in Hermosa with Lauren & Andy. Carson taught Lauren a little sign language while enjoying the time honored LA tradition of star sighting.

After Laura took the family to an open house in El Segundo, Carson took Bill along for a ride in his firetruck at El Segundo recreation park. Both involved a lot of imagination, but I could get into and out of the firetruck with only slight difficulty. If only the same could be said about a real estate transaction in SoCal.

Although he spent nearly 6 months away from organized lessons, his toe point is still as precise as before, which is a good thing in an olympic year.

Carson was all dressed up for the Georgetown game in the dome on Big Monday. Unfortunately the Hoyas weren't nearly as prepared.

Baby Jordan #2 is on the way!

Just in case we lose Carson amongst the pillows, as you can see from the ticker in the upper left, a backup is on order.

Above is some video evidence just in case you don't believe us.

Carson enjoyed a some of Laura's baking over the long weekend.

He then searched long and hard for any stray icing to lick off his arm.

Later he sat down to watch the playoff game with a couple of buddies.

Shoulder Surgeries for Some, Miniature Buckets for Others

Temperatures stayed in the mid 70s all weekend, making it an ideal January weekend to hang out at the beach.

It wasn't all fun and games this week, as I underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday to repair a SLAP tear in my right labrum, as well as a cleaning up a minor rotator cuff tear. At the time of this post, I'll be in a sling for the next five weeks.

Boo-boo or no boo-boo, you only get to be the warmest place in the continental 48 so often.

Christmas Vacation

The blog has taken quite the hiatus for the Holidays, but now we're back with bows on.

Our Christmas begins in Cincinnati with the traditional steps pic. Neither of the first time participants exactly look thrilled to be taking part.

Carson started to get into it once he saw that Santa had filled his stocking.

And some quality time with pops...

Ging-Ging and Mama brought a smile to his face.

Though nothing was more exciting than his Georgetown polo, bizarrely his favorite gift.

Carson also enjoyed the annual viewing of Christmas Vaacation.

As well as an impromptu tennis lesson from Uncle Ken.

The Cincinnati traditions continued with a trip to see the trains.

As we ended leg one of the trip we even got a dusting of snow to officially make it a white Christmas.

It was warmer when we arrived in Florida with Aunt Beth and Uncle Jeff.

Although Grampa's bounce house was under utilized, the aero bed got its fair share of bouncing.

Getting away from a quarantine at the Morris house that we may have caused, Carson Laura and I took in an amazing light display.

Followed by a family night out for pizza.

Carson had plenty of other important business to attend to in Florida.

He checked out the Mote Aquarium with Laura and Grandma.

Got in a few holes on the back nine.

And sang a little Harry Belafonte with Grampa.

Finally it wouldn't be a trip to Florida without s visit to the beach.
