Updates

While there really isn't a whole lot left to talk about pre-baby, I wouldn't want our traffic to drop off significantly, so I thought I'd post a couple things to keep you all coming back.

First, you'll notice a poll on the lefthand side for predicting baby Jordan's birthweight. For advance information, you should know that our 38 week ultrasound suggested the baby was currently 9 lbs. However, you should know that ultrasound predictions of weight are only accurate to +/-18%. Therefore I've expanded the choices beyond that starting point since the baby's current weight could actually be anywhere from 7lbs 6oz to 10lbs 9oz (if it's the latter we can all feel a touch more empathy for Laura). If you'd like to throw exact predictions out feel free to do so in the comments. We don't have a prize per se, but if you do happen to guess it exactly you will win a night of babysitting for us (airfare to Los Angeles not included), in which you will be entitled to hang at our house, play with baby Jordan, and maybe change a diaper or two.

Originally we were going to have a second poll guessing the time of birth. However, it's starting to look like that won't be too hard. We're currently scheduled for a C-Section next Tuesday, June 3rd at noon. The countdown clock has been updated to reflect the new time. So, take a look at the picture of the people in the picture below. Don't they look happy and carefree? Now look at the clock on the left. That's how much longer that will last.

Baby Shower!

A big thanks goes out to Beth and Rachel for throwing such a fabulous baby shower, and of course to all of the ladies who attended (including a surprise visit from my Mom)! Here are a few pictures of the day which featured amazing food, good friends, and an incredibly tough celebrity baby game.

Standing: Beth Bailey, Pavla Dusek, Danielle Feinblum, and Bobbi Morris
Sitting: Rachel Brown, Nicole Lloyd, Laura, Alicia Boice, Kerry Klein, and Briana Sharp

Not sure the cake could be any cuter -- Great job Beth!

I got to take a picture with the cake even though the only contribution I made was eating it. If you were wondering, it was delicious.

As for the rest of the food, how could you complain with a French-Vietnamese menu? Here are two shots of the ladies patiently waiting through a few rounds of pictures before beginning our lunch.

Thanks to everyone for all of the amazing gifts -- I'll spare you all the pictures but here is one with the major hardware.

I think that look on my face translates "Oh my gosh, I really am going to have a lot of baby stuff to fit in this house!" Thanks for the two cadillacs of strollers, I know Baby Jordan will love going for jogs in the Bob and will be so modern and hip in our mod-squares Maclaren! And, thanks again for a wonderful day!
